What do you get when we auction off the services of local creatives?

Well, if you’re one of the lucky local businesses with a winning bid, you get some top-rate design, programming, illustration, or photography. If you’re a creative, you get your name and work out there for a great cause. RSVP to bid on professional creative services

In 2015, this started as an idea shared over lunch between myself and friend Randy Thaemert. As the organizer for BGDG, I was looking for a way that our graphic design group could give back to the community, specific to our unique set of skills.

Randy was keen to the idea and it evolved into the Creative Good auction where local businesses can bid on creative services to benefit a really good cause. We wanted to connect businesses with local creative talent in a meaningful way, to get the word out about the amazing services that are available here in Boise.

Our charity, the Interfaith Sanctuary, is a truly amazing organization that not only gives the homeless a temporary shelter but takes them through the steps needed to get them back on their feet. We were business neighbors in the Alaska Center and it was there that I saw firsthand their incredible mission in action. Naturally, I wanted to contribute to that effort and hopefully inspire others to as well.

Randy and I are hoping to grow this into an annual event that creatives and businesses alike will mark on their calendar as a ‘must attend’ event for each year. I think we’re getting there. I am inspired and touched at the compassion and energy of this event. Thank you everyone who helps make this event work!
